¿Qué es y cómo funciona Instagram TV?

La nueva actualización de Instagram trae consigo el InstagramTV, que básicamente es una nueva forma de compartir videos en la red social. ¿De qué se trata? Pues es en esta nueva función podrás ver videosmás largos (de una hora máximo)en pantalla completa, ahora tienen línea de tiempo y puedes reproducirlos en donde tú quieras.

Como verán son muchas las ventajas de usar esta nueva función de Instagram, ahora es mucho más fácil manejar la app para ver videos y elegir qué es lo que deseas ver y qué no. Además de que puede subir tus videostan largos como quieras y revisar quiénes los ven y cuánto tiempo se quedan viéndolos.

Bien, ahora suponemos que con todas estas grandes ventajas, te preguntarás cómo entrar a IGTV. ¡Es muy sencillo! Antes que nada debes descargar la última actualización de Instagram, ya que lo hayas hecho, entras a tu cuenta y podrás ver en la parte superior derecha un nuevo botón de color rosa con naranja. ¡Ése es InstagramTV! Sólo le das click y ya podrás empezar a explorar.

While there’s a stand-alone IGTV app, you’ll also be able to watch from within the Instagram app so the entire community of one billion can use it from the very start. IGTV is different in a few ways. First, it’s built for how you actually use your phone, so videos are full screen and vertical. Also, unlike on Instagram, videos aren’t limited to one minute. Instead, each video can be up to an hour long. We made it simple, too. Just like turning on the TV, IGTV starts playing as soon as you open the app. You don’t have to search to start watching content from people you already follow on Instagram and others you might like based on your interests. You can swipe up to discover more — switch between “For You,” “Following,” “Popular” and “Continue Watching.” You can also like, comment and send videos to friends in Direct. Also like TV, IGTV has channels. But, in IGTV, the creators are the channels. When you follow a creator on Instagram, their IGTV channel will show up for you to watch. Anyone can be a creator — you can upload your own IGTV videos in the app or on the web to start your own channel. Instagram has always been a place to connect with the people who inspire, educate and entertain you every day. With your help, IGTV begins a new chapter of video on Instagram. We hope it brings you closer to the people and things you love. IGTV will be rolling out globally over the next few weeks on iOS and Android.

Si prefieres tener por separado tu app de Instagramy el InstagramTV, ¡puedes hacerlo! ¿Cómo? Sólo debes descargar la aplicación específica de IGTVy, así como entras a tu cuenta de Instagram, entras en ésta y listo.

Como el nombre lo dice, probablemente pienses que la app será sólo para ver videos de artistas, medios, influencers, etc. Pero no. La gran ventaja es que tú también puedes compartir tus videos a todos tus seguidores y a extraños. ¡Tendrás tu propio canal! Éstos los puedes subir desde tu celular o la computadora. Mucho mejor, ¿no?

InstagramTV te sugiere algunos canales desde que abres la función, así es que desde un principio podrás ver algunas cosas sin necesidad de estar buscando. Poco a poco podrás ir siguiendo canales y conociendo cosas diferentes en la app. Los videostienen distintas categorías: For You, Following, Popular y ContinueWatching. Ésta última opción es para cuando te quedaste a medias viendo un video y deseas terminarlo después.
